Hooooooooly crap Batman!

Out of complete left field today, Disney decided to kill off it's Video Game production wing and instead focus on licensing out their property to other development houses.

So what does this mean?

Avalanche, the Disney owned studio that is responsible for Disney Infinity is... dead.

Disney Infinity is... dead.

Apparently they're still going to release the 2 more lines of toys/characters for the game (Alice: Through the Looking Glass, and Finding Dory), and after that it's curtains.

Does this mean we might see other companies handling Disney properties now? Like Marvel? Star Wars?
